At dnata, we foster diversity, nurture ambition, and celebrate achievement. If you're inspired by purpose and motivated to be part of a global team shaping the future of aviation and travel, we’d love to have you onboard.

As a Flight Watch Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring that operational support, flight editing, and post-departure activities are carried out in accordance with IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) standards and airline contractual requirements. You will also oversee the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) functions, including aircraft towing coordination, Flydubai operations support, telex communications, and radar desk activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely flight operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Proactively raise and report safety concerns and adhere to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to ensure activities are carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Monitor radar tracks for assigned flights and update operational systems with short-final and holding status information.
  • Action requests received via VHF frequency relating to ground service requirements, including obtaining Weight & Balance (W&B) and fuel figures from the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Load Control, and communicating information to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify flights not scheduled to operate to DXB and ensure the relevant Operations Control teams are alerted accordingly.
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all resources, equipment, and personnel are available and prepared to execute towing activities safely and efficiently.
  • Implement the Emirates towing plan and monitor the on-time performance (OTP) of scheduled towing operations.
  • Coordinate with the Turnaround Coordination Officer (TCO) to ensure Flydubai operational requirements are met and perform AMIS-DMIS checks, communicating any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure flight creation is accurately reflected in DCS and DMIS, including updates to aircraft registration and gate allocation details.
  • Ensure seating arrangements for passengers requiring special assistance and group bookings are managed in accordance with airline agreements and IGOM requirements.
  • Complete all flight editing activities and required remarks prior to the opening of check-in counters and ensure post-departure updates and flight records are completed accurately and within required timelines.
  • Monitor operational telex messages and ensure they are actioned and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience for diploma holders, or 2-4 years of relevant experience in a related field with hands-on practical training.
  • Knowledge of operational systems including dnata Management Information System (DMIS), Airport Activity Control System (AACS), Universal Flight Information System (UFIS), and Departure Control Systems (DCS).

You’ll have an edge, if you have:

  • Proficient command of written and spoken English (English Language Level 5).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple operational teams.
  • Strong safety awareness with a commitment to maintaining operational, regulatory, and workplace safety standards.
