What we hold, and why.
Aviyond is a job board. There are no accounts, no passwords and no CVs — there is nothing to sign into. The only personal data we hold is what you give us when you ask for job alerts, or when you send us a message.
What we hold
| What | Why | On what basis | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address, the job families and roles you chose, any countries and keywords, and how often you want mail. | To send the job alerts you asked for, and nothing else. | Your consent — given by clicking the link in the confirmation email. | Until you unsubscribe. An address that never confirms is deleted after 30 days. |
| The IP address you signed up from, and the date you confirmed. | So we can show, if asked, that the person at that address agreed to receive mail. | Our legal obligation to be able to evidence consent. | As long as the subscription, and the record of it, exists. |
| Which digest we sent you on which day. | So the same job is not mailed to you twice. | Your consent — it is part of running the alerts you asked for. | 180 days. |
| Your name, email, topic and message if you use the contact form. | To answer you. | Your request — you sent us a message. | Not stored on this site at all. It is emailed to us and lives in that mailbox. |
What we do not
- No account, no password, no CV and no profile — there is nothing to sign into.
- Nothing you type into the search box is ever sent to Google Analytics, even with analytics on.
- Clicking Apply records the job and where the click came from. It does not record you.
- Job view counts are a daily total per posting. They carry no identifier.
Who else handles it
These companies process data on our behalf, under contract, to run the service. Nobody buys it and nobody is sold it.
- Laravel Cloud (AWS) — Runs the site and its database.
- Cloudflare — Sits in front of the site to keep it fast and available.
- Amazon SES — Delivers the confirmation and alert emails.
- Google Analytics — Counts visits — only if you accept analytics.
The job listings themselves
Every vacancy on this board was published by an employer on its own careers site. We read what is public, link back to the original, and never stand between you and the application. Nothing you do on a listing is reported to the employer.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. For job alerts you do not need to ask at all:
- Every alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and a link to change what you receive and how often.
- Unsubscribing stops the mail immediately. We keep the record that you once agreed and then withdrew, because that is the evidence that we stopped when you asked.
- For anything else — including deletion of that record — use the contact form and say what you want removed.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
