  • Develop and maintain robust demand, supply, and material forecasts, identifying future material requirements, constraints, risks, and opportunities.
  • Establish planning parameters and governance, including lead times, safety stocks, order policies, lot sizes, minimum order quantities, planning horizons, and MRP settings.
  • Drive proactive identification and resolution of material shortages, shortages-to-production, past-due orders, excess and obsolete inventory, and potential engine/work-stoppage risks.
  • Establish a disciplined material shortage management process, including escalation mechanisms, recovery plans, ownership, and executive visibility.
  • Partner with Procurement and Vendor/Supplier management to ensure planned requirements are converted into executable supply commitments and that supplier performance supports production requirements.
  • Optimize inventory investment and working capital while maintaining the material availability required to meet customer and operational commitments.
  • Develop and implement advanced forecasting, planning, and analytics capabilities, leveraging ERP/MRP data, predictive analytics, historical demand, and market intelligence.
  • Establish common Material Planning KPIs, including material availability, schedule attainment, MRP adherence, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, excess & obsolete inventory, past-due POs, shortages, supplier lead-time performance, and production interruptions.
  • Standardize Material Planning processes, systems, tools, master data, and metrics in partnership with Global Supply Chain Leader and other functions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy, planner productivity, inventory performance, material availability, and MRO turnaround time.
  • Act as a change agent for planning systems and processes, driving adoption of standardized planning methodologies, ERP/MRP capabilities, and data-driven decision making.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Program Management to ensure material plans are fully integrated with production and business plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and strategic suppliers to improve material availability, lead-time visibility, allocation management, and supply continuity.
  • Provide executive-level visibility of material risks, constraints, inventory exposure, and recovery actions, ensuring leadership has a clear understanding of risks to revenue, production, and customer commitments.
  • Lead and develop the planning for the CFM56 Program through coaching, technical development, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
