About the role
There is currently a job opening for an ‘’Assistant Accountant’’ within the International Accounts Payable Department. In this role, you will support the daily activities of the Payables Team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and related accounting transactions in accordance with company policies, accounting principles, tax requirements and internal control procedures. If you are eager to ensure accurate and timely accounting transactions, support financial reporting and audits and contribute to the efficiency of the Accounts Payable function, this role is for you!
What you will do
- Process and record supplier invoices, credit notes and other Accounts Payable transactions accurately and on time
- Review accounting documents to ensure correct accounting classification and compliance with company procedures
- Perform supplier and Accounts Payable reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice, Purchase Order and accounting-related issues
- Maintain complete accounting documentation, support internal and external audit requirements, and contribute to Accounts Payable process improvements and automation initiatives
You fit, if you cover the following requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system would be considered an asset
- Good command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Military Service fulfilled (if applicable)

- Utilizing good numerical and analytical skills
- Organizing and prioritizing workload effectively
- Communicating and collaborating effectively within a team
