The role
As a Principal BIM Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering structured digital information that underpins the design, maintenance, and development of critical infrastructure for the UK Royal Navy.
Day-to-day, you’ll will innovate, lead and influence, ensuring our digital models and data are accurate, compliant and aligned to project requirements. This is a role where your technical expertise will directly contribute to safer operations, world‑class engineering outcomes and your own long‑term professional growth within a mission‑driven, future‑focused environment.
The Principal BIM Manger is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Project Information Management team and accountable for the successful delivery of digital engineering and information management activities
Leading and developing a team of BIM, Digital Engineering and Information Management professionals.
Overseeing the creation, coordination and management of detailed digital models using Revit and other BIM authoring tools.
Managing model federation, clash detection, design coordination and 4D construction simulations using industry-standard platforms such as Navisworks, Solibri and Synchro.
Ensuring compliance with the UK BIM Framework, ISO 19650, COBie, Uniclass and other project information management requirements.
Collaborating with engineering, design, project delivery and stakeholder teams to enable effective coordination and successful project outcomes.
This role is full time, 35, hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience of the Principal BIM Manager
Familiarity with the UK BIM Framework, ISO 19650, COBie and Uniclass.
Experience working in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated environments - Desirable
Strong experience using BIM authoring platforms such as Revit.
