The role
As part of our Aviation business, you'll join a small but highly effective facilities management team responsible for maintaining compliant, safe, and operational training environments for service personnel.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
Monitoring building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Carrying out routine testing, inspections, and water hygiene activities.
Performing minor repairs, touch-up painting, and general maintenance tasks across the site.
Supporting building presentation through spot cleaning and basic upkeep activities.
Escorting contractors and helping maintain compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.
This is a full-time, onsite role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, based at RAF Cranwell. Participation in an on-call rota will be required.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Operative
Demonstrating basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Working with a strong commitment to health, safety, and safe systems of work.
Taking a proactive and hands-on approach to practical maintenance and facilities tasks.
Communicating effectively with colleagues, contractors, and site stakeholders.
Managing day-to-day responsibilities with a reliable and organised approach.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Operative
Full UK Driving Licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
