Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking an Entry-Level Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join the team in Hill Air Force Base, UT or Layton, UT.
Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons, and autonomous system guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) system design, development, integration, and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated and talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. The candidate supports sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GNC, performance analysis, simulation solutions, nuclear hardness and survivability, and inertial instruments. The selected candidate will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise.
Position Responsibilities
Support the gathering of system level requirements
Perform and document analysis of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models
Assist troubleshooting of routing operational anomalies, functional tests, and services incidents
Support execution tests, analysis, and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC, and NASA guidance to deliver a compliant product
Work under close supervision
Interact primarily with immediate supervisor and other personnel within the group
Support upgrading field assessment tools using data analytic methods
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)
Experience in control systems or guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) system design
Experience in guidance, navigation, and controls (GNC) or aerospace engineering
