What you will be doing:
DG Agent (Dangerous Goods Agent) – FedEx
A DG Agent is responsible for the inspection, acceptance, processing, and handling of dangerous goods shipments in compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards, including the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify documentation related to dangerous goods shipments.
Inspect packaging and labeling of DG shipments.
Process and register DG shipments in operational systems.
Ensure shipments comply with IATA, IMDG, ICAO, and FedEx regulations and procedures.
Advise colleagues on dangerous goods handling procedures and requirements.
Identify and correct discrepancies, non-compliance issues, and safety risks.
Maintain communication with customers, Operations, Customs, and internal departments regarding DG shipments.
Prepare and review reports and compliance documentation.
Support audits, inspections, and safety investigations.
Responsibilities
• Ensure safety throughout operational processes involving dangerous goods.
Comply with all applicable legislation, regulations, and company procedures related to dangerous goods.
Prevent shipment delays through accurate and timely processing of DG shipments.
Contribute to a safe working environment for employees, equipment, and transportation assets.
What do you bring with you:
