Job Description:
The Missile Solutions (MSL) Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of materials, components, and special processes provided by external suppliers for high-risk aerospace manufacturing. This role evaluates, audits, and monitors suppliers to ensure compliance with AS9100, Certified Special Process requirements, customer specifications, regulatory standards, and contractual quality requirements.
This position is critical to ensuring suppliers maintain effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) and controlled Certified Special Processes (CSP) capable of consistently delivering conforming product. The ideal candidate brings strong auditing, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and is able to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve quality performance, reduce risk, and strengthen supply chain compliance.
Essential Functions
Evaluate new and existing suppliers for capability, QMS effectiveness, and compliance with aerospace, industry, and CSP requirements.
Conduct supplier QMS and CSP audits to verify compliance with AS9100, internal specifications, customer requirements, and contractual flow-downs.
