About the role
Position Summary
The Inflight Crew Scheduler schedules Inflight Crewmembers in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company policies and procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The highest level of customer service is essential while coordinating with other departments and communicating with Crewmembers. Flexibility in the work schedule is necessary as the position requires working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
Schedule and notify Inflight Crewmembers in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Company policies and procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) using available data and reports
Monitor Inflight Crewmembers’ schedules for irregularities
Process Crewmember schedule adjustments using automated computer programs
Arrange for Crewmember hotel and/or transportation if necessary
Assist with research, data analysis, development and execution of departmental programs
Complete other duties as assigned by Crew Services and/or System Operations Leadership
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
One (1) year customer service or office experience
Successful completion of pre-employment math assessment(s)
Available for overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Computer science, Aviation, Statistics, Operations or equivalent major
Crew Scheduling experience
Operations experience in a Part 117 and 121 Airline environment
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
