Description Procurement Manager – Fuel Services provides enterprise-level sourcing leadership for a complex, high-value fuel-service category. This role owns multi-year category and supplier strategies, leads high-impact negotiations and transformation initiatives, and delivers sustained improvements in total cost of ownership, safety, quality, compliance, operational resilience, technology, and service performance. The senior manager serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, represents United in fuel-governing bodies and industry forums where appropriate, and provides functional leadership, coaching, and direction to fuel professionals. Core Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities Represent United in airport fuel committees, consortiums, governing bodies, and industry forums as assigned, including leadership, voting, negotiation, budget oversight, and stakeholder coordination responsibilities. Own and execute multi-year fuel category strategies across fuel-facility maintenance and operations, into plane fueling services and related services. Lead complex sourcing events and commercial negotiations, including multi-airport, multi-supplier, high-value, or operationally critical agreements. Direct supplier qualification, selection, contracting, transition, and governance activities; ensure commercial recommendations balance value, safety, quality, compliance, service, technology, and resilience. Establish category road maps, financial targets, risk priorities, and implementation plans aligned with enterprise strategy, operational requirements, and capital programs. Create and lead strategic supplier relationship management programs, executive business reviews, performance scorecards, corrective action plans, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
