Container Platform Engineer Sr in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestrating containerized applications.
- Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, Python.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent technologies.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a hybrid environment, including experience with Terraform.
- Insights into distributed systems, including performance analysis and optimization.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and system internals.
- A thorough understanding of hybrid cloud and on-premises computing services alongside virtualization technologies.
- A strong inclination towards creating and maintaining detailed documentation, with an emphasis on automation.
- Experience with observability tools, with a preference for the Grafana/Prometheus stack.
- A robust mindset towards embracing DevOps methodologies and understanding of platform engineering practices.
- Applying DevOps best practices from application development to infrastructure and platform automation is critical.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 7 years Experience working in DevOps engineering, Platform engineering or similar positions with a focus on container technologies. preferred. Foundational Red Hat Certifications and container technologies (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.), or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) strongly preferred...
