During your internship, you will contribute to:
Provide administrative support to the labour relations team on day-to-day collective agreement interpretation issues.
Administer the grievance record tracker for all bargaining units, track grievance replies ensure grievance files are up to date, schedule and support grievance hearings.
Manage overtime reconciliation, advise business on the overtime guidelines for day-to-day offer and methods for reducing liability related to overtime.
Conduct weekly review of overtime reports and lead audit meeting with leaders and directors to ensure overtime lists are updated and aligned with risk mitigation practices.
Gather information and data from HR databases for reporting purposes to produce and retrieve various labour relations reports on a weekly basis and as assigned.
Contribute to labour relations process improvement initiatives and projects as required.
Participate in human resources and labour relations team meetings.
How to thrive in this role?
You are currently completing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, labour relations, human rights, law or equivalent degree in a recognized university.
You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
