The role
As an Assistant Project Manager Production, you will be embedded within one of our Mission Technologies production programmes, supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. This is a highly visible role where your coordination, organisation and problem‑solving skills will directly influence project outcomes that matter to national security and customer success.
You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and commercial teams, gaining hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle while building strong stakeholder relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Supporting planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management activities across production programmes
Coordinating work packages and monitoring progress to ensure delivery against agreed plans
Working collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering and procurement teams to drive momentum
Engaging with internal stakeholders to communicate progress, issues and mitigation actions
Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery performance
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home.
