Job Description
The International Field Support Technician is an on-site technical specialist at an L3Harris customer manufacturing facility in Algiers, supporting a high-visibility Transfer of Technology (ToT) program. The role focuses on keeping production, inspection, and test equipment operational, and supporting the needs of our Rochester-based and customer teams in successfully accomplishing the objectives of the program, including customer support, training, technical troubleshooting/repairs, administrative coordination, and other duties. This role will report to the International Program Manager for Algeria, and be based in Algiers, Algeria with occassional travel to Rochester, NY or other business sites as required (less than 10%).
Essential Functions
Support and enable on-time execution of factory repairs, upgrades, training, low-rate initial production (LRIP), and full-rate production (FRP) by:
Coaching and mentoring customer personnel
Assisting with troubleshooting and repair of equipment down to the component/sub assembly level
Communicating with the Rochester-based program team to escalate and resolve issues
Support setup, operation, and changeover of production and test equipment per established procedures and work instructions.
