Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Staff Process Engineer – Level 5 to join our team in Clearfield, UT / Salt Lake City, UT.
This role partners closely with design engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues, optimize safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, and implement corrective actions to improve process performance. The successful candidate will analyze production data, support the implementation of tooling and equipment, maintain manufacturing documentation, and present technical solutions to leadership, customers, and engineering review boards.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Developing and improving manufacturing processes
Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for assigned products/processes
Coordinates with Design Engineering on design and manufacturability issues
Coordinates with production on day-to-day activities. Assists in the resolution of processing issues
Evaluate and aid in the disposition of discrepant hardware
Troubleshoots existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
