The role
As an Avionics Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting advanced aircraft avionics and electrical systems, helping to ensure the safe flying of aircraft in line with customer expectations. Working closely with the Avionics Supervisor and Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in supporting maintenance plans, achieving operational milestones and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and compliance.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Carry out planned line and base maintenance activities on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.
Rectify deferred and carry-forward defects in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and the Minimum Equipment List.
Diagnose, troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems to maintain aircraft availability and airworthiness.
Ensure serviceable tools, equipment, materials and airworthiness data are available to support maintenance activities.
Liaise professionally with colleagues and customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport).
