The role: Junior Cyber Security Engineer
As a Junior Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the technical security solutions that keep British Airways and our customers safe from cyber threats. Working closely with BA colleagues across the globe and the BA Cyber Team, you’ll help implement, maintain, and improve security capabilities that align with our business needs and evolving threat landscape. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn from experienced engineers, contribute to projects, and develop your skills in modern security technologies and practices. You’ll report to the Cyber Security Engineering Manager and be part of a collaborative team committed to protecting our airline and enabling secure operations worldwide.
What you’ll do
Implementation and configuration of security tools and capabilities to help mitigate threats to British Airways
Follow team processes aligned to threat- and risk-led strategy, ensuring tasks contribute to BA’s focus on key priorities
Maintain awareness of attacker techniques and procedures, applying this knowledge to assist with tuning and validating security controls
Perform regular reviews of the technical security landscape, reporting findings and helping to implement improvements
