RS AMT Trainee in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Candidates must be able to work any shift and be pursuing an aviation maintenance certificate from an accredited program. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level. Prior aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) is helpful. Position Purpose:Under direct supervision, assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. In this position, the employee will gain knowledge of and familiarity with the Gulfstream aircraft, and with internal procedures for work completion and quality control. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Gain experience and knowledge in the maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems. Learn skills related to the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
