We are currently looking for a Shift Scheduling Specialist to join our Central Canada team. Reporting to the Manager, Shift Optimization, this role is the focal point for preparing, adapting, establishing and maintaining critical coverage for our operation. The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver who is adaptable and resilient in an ever-changing environment. Your experience with scheduling using various employee scheduling tools as well as your ability to manipulate and analyze data will help you to stand out with your application. Key Accountabilities
Plans, creates and reviews employee schedules in a complex scheduling environment for operational staff within the FIR by maximizing human resources, training and other on-going requirements to ensure operational requirements are met, all while respecting established publishing deadlines.
Ensures that all employee schedules are compliant with the applicable collective agreement, Canadian Labor Code, unit policies and directives, as well as other governing directives and regulations which may apply.
