The Role
At British Airways, aircraft delivery from base maintenance to the terminal operation is a fundamental part of our engineering organisation —and we’re looking for licensed engineers who take ownership of that responsibility. This is a role for engineers who lead from the front: setting the standard for safety, airworthiness and quality, making confident decisions under pressure, and ensuring every aircraft is delivered right first time. If you’re a B‑licensed engineer who thrives on accountability, values teamwork, and wants to play a visible, trusted role in protecting the integrity of the BA operation, this is where your expertise truly matters.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Engineering Base Maintenance team at Heathrow and support the exceptional delivery of aircraft to our customers.
It is divided into two main areas; Resource and Technical management, providing leadership to our Engineers.
Resource Management
Deliver the operation to defined production targets ensuring alignment to the maintenance plan and aircraft compliance
Provide effective leadership of maintenance colleagues, setting and managing clear expectations to deliver the operation on the day
Allocate tasks as required by the maintenance plan
Champion high-quality standards, monitor trends, and oversee continuous improvement in order to define and implement permanent solutions…
