Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a hands-on Electrical/Battery Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Lead) to support the Missile Guidance System (MGS) battery for the Guidance Subsystem Support Contract (GuSSC) program in Hill Air Force Base, UT or Layton, UT. The role will work closely with government counterparts to assess the MGS battery’s health, manage requirements and interfaces, and support hardware integration, verification, and validation activities. The engineer will support test events, reviews, and working groups to ensure safe, reliable, and auditable delivery of guidance-related battery systems and documentation.
Position Responsibilities
Serve as primary contractor technical support for the MGS battery
Assess and report on the health and readiness of the MGS battery in coordination with government stakeholders
Prepare and deliver scheduled assessment products and reports
Support requirement changes; document, track, and communicate impacts to hardware and schedules
Support maintaining internal and external subsystem interfaces
Support design activities and hardware design reviews for the MGS battery and support electronics as required
Support integration, validation, and verification activities with government counterparts
Support development of test plans, witness/attend test events, and generate test reports and trend analysis
Support Operation Test Flights (OTL), including anomaly investigations and post-flight reviews as required
Conduct trade studies, reliability assessments, and special studies focused on battery aging, reliability, and survivability as required
Support and participate in program reviews and technical forums
Support preparation and briefing of technical materials for government reviews and working groups
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
