About the role
AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are inviting applications for an experienced B1 Engineering Shift Leader to be based at Manchester Airport on 2D2N rotations working in partnership with our client Ryanair, Europe's largest airline.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experience B1 Licenced Engineer to take a leadership role within a busy and growing Line Station, leading a team of Engineers, Mechanics and Trainees while remaining actively involved in day-to-day aircraft maintenance.
Responsibilities – Reporting directly to the Station Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance across the Line Maintenance operation. You will provide leadership and technical support to the Engineering team, ensuring that aircraft are maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership and Management of a team of Engineers, Mechanics and Trainees at the Manchester Line Station.
Coordinating all Line Maintenance operation activities, including routine servicing and defect rectification of Ryanair’s 737-800 and 737-8200 Fleet, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery.
Working closely with Engineering Planners to develop and deliver effective maintenance plans for the Line Station.
Ensuring maintenance is completed safely, efficient and in accordance with the approved procedures and regulatory requirements, including the promotion of a strong safety and compliance culture.
Staff development and training, including onboarding of new staff and continued professional development for existing team members.
Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability and performance of the team and station.
