What You Will Do
Join the Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization and contribute mechanical engineering expertise to mission-critical defense systems across radar, missile, and command-and-control platforms. In this role, you will participate across the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept design and structural/thermal analysis to rapid prototyping, design verification testing, and factory support. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment alongside systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, you will solve complex technical challenges to deliver robust, high-reliability mechanical solutions. Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required. International and longer-duration travel assignments are available but optional.
Key Responsibilities
Design, model, and document mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and major end items in accordance with rigorous defense system requirements.
Generate and maintain parametric 3D CAD models, complex assembly hierarchies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings.
Validate design fit, form, and functionality through rapid prototyping, physical testing, and engineering simulations.
