Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer or Principal Engineer Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located onsite in Melbourne, FL.
The Ground Systems Team is seeking a Systems Engineer to own end-to-end subsystem requirements verification between upper-level (system) and lower-level (software/test) requirements. The role uses DOORS as the official requirements repository, leverages DXL for automation/reporting, and uses Jira and Confluence to query user stories, track work, and publish status to stakeholders. Supports design reviews, change control, and verification planning.
What you’ll do
Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between upper- and lower-level requirement specifications in DOORS, including interfaces and test cases.
Configure and manage DOORS modules, attributes, link modules, link rules, views, and baselines to enforce data quality and consistency.
Perform impact analysis for changes; identify orphan, conflicting, or duplicate requirements and drive resolution with requirement owners.
