Data Engineer 3 Job Description Summary
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines and data products. You will work closely with our product definition analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and architects to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data assets. 🤝🌐
Key responsibilities
🧱 Design, implement, deploy, and maintain data marts and ETL processes (our data assets).
⚙️ Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data assets.
📈 Design and maintain quality indicators with effective monitoring & alerting.
🛠️ Troubleshoot and document issues following Amadeus standards.
🔄 Apply continuous improvement to systems, processes, and data-related issues.
📚 Stay updated with industry standards, security recommendations, and best practices within the Offer organization.
🔒 Mandatory Skills
💻 Programming Languages: Python or Scala
• 🗄️ Big Data Technologies: Apache Spark, Sqoop, Hadoop, Hive, Apache Kafka
• 🗃️ Data Platforms: Databricks (preferable), Snowflake, Azure Synapse
• 🐚 Database: SQL, NoSQL, PL/SQL, BigQuery
• ☁️ Cloud Platforms: Azure / GCP / AWS
• 🛠 DevOps Tools: Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, Git/GitHub, Bitbucket
🎓 Good to have certifications: Azure and/or Databricks
Qualifications
🎓 Education: University degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience
💼 Overall experience: 8+ Years
🔄 Proven track record of experience working in data engineering domain.
🔧 Strong experience defining ETL processes.
🧠 Experience with data modeling and data visualization concepts and tools.
📘 Knowledge of Software Design under Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, …).
🏗 Proven experience on design and maintaining applications using Scala, (Py)Spark, MAPR distribution, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Impala.
☁️ Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure, Databricks.
