RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team responsible for all facilities crane and elevator operations to ensure zero unplanned interruptions of services to employees and customers.
Coordinate the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and scope of work enforcement for facilities crane operations and elevator services.
Develop and administer an effective and efficient preventative maintenance program.
Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX’s custom work order system.
Provide leadership, conduct annual performance reviews, and manage subordinate technicians.
Consult with production engineering and facilities construction for required crane systems.
Prioritize tasks and projects effectively to drive department efficiency and eliminate blockers to critical path.
Have high regard for personal safety and safety of others while providing safety leadership and driving a culture of safety excellence.
Assure there is compliance with all Federal, State and local building codes as related to facilities crane and elevator operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
3+ years of experience as a lead or supervisor in crane maintenance and repair.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
PMP, BOC Level I or Level II, or CFM/FMP certifications.
Bachelor’s degree in facilities operations, or equivalent trade experience.
Experience with bridge and gantry cranes.
Ability to read, interpret and understand technical language in specifications, schematics and blueprints.
Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely and follow safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Possess a strong work ethic and problem solving attitude.
Strong organizational and collaborative communication skills are essential.
