About the role
Our team in Eight-Mile Plains are seeking a Electronics/PCB Design Engineer to join them. In this role, you will design, develop, and support innovative electronic hardware solutions, working across schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, testing, and production support in a collaborative engineering environment.
What role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
Design, development and prototyping of new power and control circuits, including programmable logic devices, or design modification of existing products, from concept through to production.
Generate DC schematic diagrams and layout DC PCBs using Altium.
Creation of DC power budgets to track power consumption.
Review DC designs, analyses, and documentation produced by other engineers, while ensuring adherence to the Engineering Change Process.
Selection and management of subcontractors for DC PCB substrate manufacture and population.
Perform part stress analysis and reliability predictions.
Define, derive, and verify compliance against performance specifications.
Identify and manage technical risks, making informed trade-off decisions and escalating where appropriate.
Documentation of product design either directly or through supervision of contractors or drawing office staff as appropriate.
Generate a bill of materials for entry into the ERP system.
