Position Summary
To own and deliver Development activities e.g. Verification & Validation (V&V), Build/Experiment definition across Component, Bench Engine and Installed Verification (Flight Test), and the subsequent delivery of V&V data back to the programmes.
The Development Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. It covers engineers who are performing Development, Systems Engineering and Verification style roles.
This is an integration role where the individual will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements.
This role sits within our Defence business and supports our multinational programmes to deliver the next generation of Defence capability.
What you will be doing
In this role you will:
Deliver product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan.
Be the point of contact with the project to support and coach the team Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviours within the project.
Provide the necessary coaching/support to engineering programmes and sub-system teams to plan the engine verification and validation tests, driving the right V&V behaviours within the project.
Manage the creation of substantiation evidence, clearance/acceptance documentation that meets the demand for the project.
Manage aircraft integration issues necessary to support the programme.
