Role Introduction
Join Cathay Pacific as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in this Casual Contract basis in Brisbane. You will perform maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third-party aircraft in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards.
As part of the Brisbane Engineering Team, you will contribute to the operational reliability, security and presentation of our aircraft, supporting a safe and seamless travel experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Work on a shift basis to perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third-party customers under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineering Manager.
Monitor the performance of third-party service providers, including technical, ramp, de-icing and refuelling services, and address operational issues promptly.
Service and maintain station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities.
Support contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements, including diversions, charter flights, aircraft type changes and major disruption recovery.
Deliver a high standard of customer service.
Promote a safe and healthy workplace by complying with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
Experience working on wide-body aircraft, including the B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B747-8 Freighter.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited information.
