Strategic Sourcing is a critical function to a low-cost airline and the Strategic Sourcing Director is the key to ensuring the contracts and relationships are in place to properly support the operation in a cost-effective manner. Strong communication skills are required as all departments will require support from the Procurement Director. The Director is also responsible for leading procurement initiatives that improve the organization and keep the low-cost nature of the organization intact, while not suffering service level or quality impacts. Here’s what you’ll do
Implement proper procurement processes, leveraging subject matter experts to cater programs to meet their needs
Create and manage requests for information, quotes, and proposals (RFX)
Develop contract management standards and proper storing and retention
Provide key performance indicators for measuring procurement performance and measuring performance against implemented agreements
Negotiate contracts for purchase of goods and services for operational and corporate needs including, but not limited to, software, hardware, fuel, ground service equipment, airport services, uniforms, third-party commerce programs, components, and materials, etc.
Manage vendor management activities with internal business teams, including analyzing vendor performance, documenting failures, and following up with the vendor on complaints and other issues
Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to work towards enhancing existing agreements, communicating changes, and updating contracts
Other duties as assigned
Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree in Finance or a related field
10+ years of procurement experience, including progressive leadership roles
