Job Title: Supervisor of Maintenance Planning

Summary: The Supervisor of Maintenance Planning is responsible for overseeing maintenance planning activities that support aircraft safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The position maintains inspection program tasks, updates manuals and task cards, incorporates FAA Airworthiness Directives and manufacturer requirements, processes major repair data, and supervises Maintenance Programs staff. The Supervisor of Maintenance Planning reports to the Manager of Maintenance Planning.
Essential Functions
Participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
Actively promotes a positive attitude toward safety and compliance.
Maintains Maintenance Program tasks within the maintenance and inventory database.
Revises Inspection Program manuals to incorporate changes published by aircraft manufacturers.
Reviews FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD) for inclusion into the applicable inspection program
Processes Major Repair data and incorporate follow up requirements into the inspection program.
Revises manufacturer’s MPD task cards to include company specific requirements.
Authors task cards to include service bulletin data associated with AD method of compliance.
Supervises a department of employees who perform various functions related to Maintenance Programs.
Reviews current maintenance programs and updates as necessary to bring additional aircraft onto certificate.
Works any assigned shift to support team members working a 24/7 operation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field; and/or an equivalent amount of education and work experience
