CRANE TECHNICIAN (MAINTENANCE & SERVICE)
As a member of the critical infrastructure team, you will help design, build, activate and maintain some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturing facilities. You will be able to operate with autonomy to solve diverse and complex problems, excel at managing multiple projects at a time and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a crane technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all crane assets across campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support a team responsible for all facilities crane and elevator operations to ensure zero unplanned interruptions of services to employees and customers.
Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various types of fixed cranes (bridge, gantry, jib).
Coordinate the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and scope of work enforcement for facilities crane operations and elevator services.
Understanding of control circuitry, wiring and ability to install a radio control system and variable frequency drive.
Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX’s custom work order system.
Consult with production engineering and facilities construction for required crane systems.
Prioritize tasks and projects effectively to drive department efficiency and eliminate blockers to critical path.
Have high regard for personal safety and safety of others while providing safety leadership and driving a culture of safety excellence.
Assure there is compliance with all Federal, State and local building codes as related to facilities crane and elevator operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years' of crane technician experience.
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
PMP, BOC Level I or Level II, or CFM/FMP certifications.
Experience with bridge and gantry cranes.
Experience with modification of crane parts.
