We are looking for a positive and solution-oriented person to work in the Safety Office at Icelandair HQ in Hafnarfjörður.
The Safety Office within Icelandair is responsible for the operation of the safety management system, investigation of incidents and advice on all aspects of safety.
Field of work
- Responsible for the management and oversight of safety reporting associated with CAMO and Part-145 operation
- Advise respective Nominated persons or Directors on safety matters
- Assists the Safety Action Groups
- Assists managers in Hazard identification
- Performing investigations
- Providing periodic reports to the Manager Safety on safety performance
Qualifications
- Part 66 licence or an equivalent engineering qualification
- Operational or technical background to understand the systems that support operations
- Knowledge of Safety management systems and investigation techniques
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, ability to guide others and to work in a group environment
- Good knowledge of the applicable aviation regulations
- Good knowledge and have experience in operating computer software programmes and handling computer data and information
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check prior to appointment
