Lead the capability that keeps our maintenance operations moving and helps ensure our aircraft are ready to fly.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Supply Execution Chapter within Air New Zealand Tech Ops. You'll shape the people, processes, and operational disciplines that connect Supply Chain with maintenance operations, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support aircraft maintenance, component repair, and operational performance.
With a strong reputation for culture, service, and innovation, Air New Zealand is consistently recognised as one of New Zealand's most attractive employers. As Chapter Lead Supply Execution, you'll work across Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and operational teams, building a high performing capability that strengthens material execution, responds to operational disruption, and improves aircraft availability.
About the role

  • Lead the Supply Execution capability, ensuring short term material planning and execution supports safe, efficient maintenance operations
  • Coach, develop, and inspire a high performing team, building capability, consistency, and operational excellence across the Chapter
  • Lead material support through the Maintenance Operations Centre (MOC), providing clear coordination, prioritisation, and decision making for operational requirements
  • Build and mature AOG and material disruption management capability, strengthening how Supply Chain anticipates, responds to, and recovers from time critical events
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance, and operational teams to resolve material constraints and improve execution outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement across Supply Execution through stronger processes, operating rhythms, digital tools, performance measures, and data driven decision making.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience across Supply Execution, Supply Operations, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within a complex operational environment
  • Proven success leading, coaching, and developing high performing teams operating in fast paced, operational settings
  • Strong knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and supply chain execution, including managing shortages, disruption, and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience improving operational planning, execution processes, and supply chain performance
  • Experience working across matrixed or Agile environments with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Operations
  • A collaborative leader who thrives under pressure, makes sound decisions, builds trusted relationships, and champions continuous improvement.

If you meet the majority of the criteria and are excited by the opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
