The role

As a Supply Chain and Logistics Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll have a rare opportunity to do more than manage an existing supply chain. You'll help design and deliver the future supply chain and logistics operating model for a major and complex land defence programme.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Developing future supply chain and logistics operating models by assessing current delivery arrangements and identifying opportunities for improvement across the wider enterprise.
  • Designing integrated solutions that align people, processes, systems and supply chain capabilities to deliver efficient and scalable outcomes.
  • Creating capability roadmaps, conducting gap analyses and defining improvement activities required to achieve future-state objectives.
  • Establishing and managing strategic partnerships and alliance arrangements that strengthen capability and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborating with solution development teams and stakeholders to support business growth and successful programme delivery.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Andover with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Supply Chain and Logistics Lead

  • Proven experience designing and managing complex supply chain and logistics solutions, including warehousing, distribution, inventory and supplier networks.
  • Strong analytical expertise in demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, critical spares analysis and readiness-based stocking strategies.
  • Experience within defence, government, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or other highly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering solutions within complex programme environments while engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills with the ability to drive collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the Supply Chain and Logistics Lead

  • Degree qualified in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Through-Life Support and Integrated Logistics Support methodologies.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management or supportability engineering.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
