Shift Operations Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic Shift Operations Manager to take charge of operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and inspire a team to deliver excellence at our Jet2 Retail Operations Centre in Middlewich, CW10 0GY, every single shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key leader in our Retail Operations Centre, you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a team of First Line Managers, Team Leaders, and up to 200 Warehouse Operatives during peak periods

• Ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are met across performance, people, and compliance.

• Organising labour and equipment resources to meet daily operational demands

• Collaborating with planning teams and agency partners to scale staffing for seasonal volume uplifts

• Driving quality assurance and process compliance across all stages of the operation

• Championing Health & Safety, CAA, and HMRC standards

• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that benefit our customers, colleagues, and business.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who thrives on challenge and leads with confidence. You’ll need:

• Proven experience in a team management role (ideally with experience of managing first line managers) within warehousing, distribution, or logistics environment.

• Strong leadership and people skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude

• Excellent planning and resource deployment skills

• A keen eye for detail and strong numerate acumen

• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office packages

• Solid understanding of Health & Safety & HR practices

• Clear, effective communication across all levels of the business

• Excellent people engagement skills
