Expected Salary: $67,021 to $87,965

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

Description

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the analysing, vetting and interrogating the Work Spec from a material perspective to ensure a full and detailed understanding and interpretation of the Customer requirements, to allow for accurate material identification.
  • Manage on-site execution and material interfaces in line with current VISSC Processes.
  • Manage and identify material related project risks.
  • Provide material related subject Matter expertise and guidance to all project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and the client’s agents.
  • Comply with all working practices, standards of discipline, safety, and quality.
  • Look for opportunities and efficiencies to further improve the departments output and interactions with stakeholders.
  • When necessary, deputize for the Planning Manager, ensuring the team receives adequate support and guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate brings:

  • A minimum of 4 Years experience with Material identification/planning in a shipyard or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a project management environment.
  • Experience with IT systems to control work packages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other project software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Experience with Royal Canadian Navy (or similar experience) operating system would be considered an asset.
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
