Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is looking to add a talented Quality Control Inspector to the team!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Q.C. Inspector will ensure that all inspections, interior completion and paint production for aircraft meet regulatory and contractual requirements prior to accepting completed tasks as airworthy. The Q.C. Inspector will be required to make decisions, as necessary, to determine whether the work being performed and the materials being used conform to the requirements of the approved documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Q.C. Inspector shall be responsible to the Manager of Quality Assurance for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:

  • Achieve the required Quality standards by creating, executing, and reinforcing Quality Management System objectives and processes for the Paint and Interior Completions departments.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection of Paint and Interior Completions production.
  • Ensure that work is accomplished per established inspection procedures.
  • Ensure that all aircraft interior completion production meets TCCA, customer, company and/or regulatory and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ensure that inspection items are compiled properly and all necessary documentation is completed correctly.
  • Maintain a thorough familiarity with the content of the company manuals and all subsequent revisions.
  • Must be able to meet production schedule and quality standards.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to ensure best practice and continuous improvement in Quality deliverables.
  • Maintain FOD/housekeeping standards to ensure a safe product and working environment.
  • Ensure functional role is integrated into Operational unit resulting in a one-team approach.
  • Ensure the right resources are available to meet projected workload delivery on quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Utilize the appropriate resources to solve day-to-day problems; react quickly to unforeseen events.
  • Work in compliance with all Administrative, Health and Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in Quality or related discipline.
  • Experience with Business Aircraft interior completions and/or Aviation or Industrial paint processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems. AS9100 experience is an asset but not required.
  • Intermediate level reading and interpretation of engineering and customer drawings.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of manufacturing procedures and practices.
  • Intermediate level knowledge and ability to use job-related quality measurement tools.
  • Ability to work in teams and on a self-directed basis.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and countermeasure identification skills.
  • Excellent technical oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effective prioritization skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

COMPENSATION

Hourly: $30-$40

We offer competitive compensation including 6% RRSP matching, 10% deferred compensation, and Health/Medical/Dental/Life benefits.

WORKING HOURS

This is a full-time (FT) position and hours of work or shift patterns may change due to business operational needs. Flexibility is required and at present, the standard hours of work are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular periods during which physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
  • Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort.
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing, seeing, visualizing, drafting, to what is happening and work being performed.
