Job Summary

(Description of general purpose of the job)

  • Support the SIOP Manager in driving an integrated Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process through business analytics, planning systems governance, executive reporting and cross-functional planning support. The role analyzes demand, supply, inventory and operational performance to enable informed business decisions while ensuring planning master data integrity, supporting planning parameters and driving continuous improvement through reporting automation and digital transformation. This role serves as a key contributor in the transition towards Collins Connected Factory and standardized planning processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly SIOP process by preparing integrated analyses, executive reports and business insights across demand, supply, inventory, capacity and delivery performance.
  • Analyze demand, production capacity, inventory and supply trends to identify risks, constraints and improvement opportunities.
  • Support aggregate capacity planning by evaluating available capacity against forecasted demand and highlighting resource constraints, bottlenecks and recovery scenarios.
  • Develop scenario analyses to evaluate demand, capacity and inventory trade-offs for executive decision-making.
  • Support financial reconciliation and executive SIOP reviews through data-driven planning recommendations.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and planning metrics to monitor forecast accuracy, inventory health, capacity utilization, schedule adherence and operational performance.
  • Maintain planning master data integrity including material master, BOM, planning parameters, PFEP, lead times, lot sizes, safety stock and yield/scrap settings.
  • Perform master data audits and validation to improve planning accuracy and MRP effectiveness.
  • Support planning data readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes and product transitions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials and Configuration Management to maintain planning data governance.
  • Develop and automate planning reports, dashboards and visual management tools using SAP, Excel, Power BI and future Connected Factory solutions.
  • Drive process standardization, documentation and continuous improvement of SIOP and planning processes.
  • Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions through data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production Planning, Material Planning, Engineering, Finance, Logistics and Global Planning teams to support integrated business planning.
  • Provide analytical support during executive reviews, supply planning discussions and operational reviews.

Qualification and Education Requirements (Education and Work experience that a candidate should have when applying for position)

Minimum Education required (specific field or equivalent):

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Statistics, Data Analytics or equivalent.

Minimum years of experience in role:

  • 2–4 years of experience in SIOP, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Production Planning, Business Analytics or Manufacturing Operations.

Preferred Skills (if any):

  • SIOP, Supply Chain or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Aerospace or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
  • Demand, supply and inventory planning
  • Production planning and capacity planning
  • Planning master data governance (Material Master, BOM, Routings, PFEP)
