Northrop Grumman Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Principal Logistics Engineer/ Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer. This position will be in Roy, UT.

What you will get to do

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support development of a product support plan demonstrating solutions for all 12 IPS elements
• Synthesize logistics data, develop and maintain metric dashboards, and create reportsto drive operational insight and decision-making.
• Use provisioning data to identify, select, catalog and determine support material requirements, and in the development of Provisioning Parts List and design Change Notifications.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and configuration rationales; develop and execute unit-test scenarios and data sets.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive logistics support documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain logistics database
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and SMEs to architect integrated logistics solutions that align with strategic objectives and sustain long-term capability.
• Foster strong relationships with the user community, acting as a trusted resource and advisor while ensuring leadership involvement and ownership of logistics initiatives.

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications

• Principal Logistics Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5 years of experience; 3 years of experience with a Masters’ degree; or 0 years of experience with a PhD
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• 2 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical components.
• 2 years of experience developing logistics plan for weapons systems in accordance with MIL Standards.
• 2 years of working knowledge and application of all 12 Integrated Product Support elements.

• Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 9 years of experience; 7 years of experience with a Masters’ degree; or 4 years of experience with a PhD
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• 4 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical components.
• 4 years of experience developing logistics plan for weapons systems in accordance with MIL Standards.
• 4 years of working knowledge and application of all 12 Integrated Product Support elements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel Power Query, Power Pivot, and related analytics features.
• Familiarity with Mil-STD-1388 type work products.
• Experience developing logistics work products on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
• Knowledge of Integrated Product Support analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502, or TA-STD-0017.
• Experience with logistics product database tools such as EAGLE, SLICWave, PowerLogJ, or comparable software.

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
