The Revenue Management and Pricing department at Icelandair plays a key role in maximizing the airline’s profitability across its global network. Our team consists of dedicated and commercially minded professionals who develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue and yield performance.
We are now seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the pricing strategy and revenue performance for a defined portfolio of routes. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, and Network Planning, to ensure Icelandair’s commercial objectives are achieved.
This is a dynamic and highly analytical role, offering exposure to a wide range of commercial activities within the airline industry. It is well suited for a motivated individual with a passion for data-driven decision-making and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, demand patterns, forward bookings, and competitive behavior to identify revenue opportunities.
- Manage pricing strategies and revenue performance for a portfolio of routes and fare products.
- Develop competitive pricing initiatives based on market intelligence and performance data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Network Planning to align on commercial strategies.
- Contribute to process improvement and best practice development within the Pricing function.
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree fit for purpose
- Relevant prior airline or travel industry experience
- Solid understanding of airline pricing, partnership pricing and revenue management principles.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets to support strategic decision-making.
- Experience with ATPCo, fare management systems, or pricing tools is crucial.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and ability to take initiative and to get involved in as well as lead projects
- Open-minded and positive team player
- Well-developed prioritization and time planning skills as well as ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Fluent English, both written and verbal.
