Our aircraft are industry leaders and so are our people. We're looking for a talented, motivated Operations Engineer to join our aircraft completions team.
The successful candidate will:
-Implement lean manufacturing initiatives on the completions team
-Drive for cycle time and waste reductions
-Develop, plan and implement business layouts, process flows, tooling/equipment and cost and quality improvements
-Have experience leading and communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
Preferred experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment. Should have good communication and customer satisfaction skills.
Preferred experience in production or project scheduling
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or related technical experience. Position Purpose:Under moderate supervision, provides direct technical support to manufacturing operations and internal customers. Develops procedures and processes to streamline and optimize manufacturing operations. Interfaces with external suppliers for supplier related issues. Provides guidance and mentoring to entry level OE staff members.Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- For manufacturing process to which individual is assigned: provide and maintain detailed work instructions, drive quality improvements, efficiency improvements, material presentation enhancements, manage the daily work plan, provide metrics for quality and schedule performance, and coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required. to meet Operations goals.
- Ensure quality policies are being practiced; make recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality. .
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles and processes. .
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
