🔎 About the Role

The Ramp is an essential department within operations at the EMA HUB. The ramp workers ensures that once material arrives in the Hub facility by air transport, the unloading and reloading is performed in accordance with DHL, Airline and Legal Regulations, and that the material is sorted in accordance with established procedures and is available for further distribution throughout the network at scheduled times.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing

• Co-ordinate safe Ramp operations through effective staff and resource management
• Ensure operational activities are conducted in compliance with Company and International Standards including the Health and Safety at Work Act, Aviation Security Act and GSOP/Q-Pulse Requirements
• Ensure deadlines and schedules are met
• Liaise with external third-party customers
• Support DHL Core operations as required
• Identify training requirements
• Input LRT data
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Narrow and Wide-bodied aircraft handling
• CIS & EOS facilitation
• Management of team including:
• Management of time and absence
• Band 3 or working towards
• Managing conflict in a confident, considered and respectful manner
• Handling grievance and disciplinary processes where required
• Providing regular developmental and motivational feedback
• Conducting quarterly Check-Ins with the team
• Driving participation in Employee Opinion Survey and contribute to follow up actions
• Motivate, mentor and support staff at all times to develop high performing teams through active leadership and defined team and individual expectations
• Supervisors are responsible for the Health and Safety of their employees as well as having a thorough understanding of the Health and Safety Policy and the risk associated with their area of responsibility.

• Clear understanding of EOS & CIS and its importance to the business
• Experience from an operations background is preferable
• Must meet criteria for issue of an Airport Pass
• Must hold a full driving licence
