Manager Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the Quality Assurance System across Part-CAMO, Part-145 and Part-147 activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable EASA regulations, company procedures and safety standards
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, investigations and occurrences
• Act as focal point for regulatory authority audits and inspections
• Support Accountable Manager and Nominated Persons regarding quality and compliance matters

Personnel Authorisations

• Oversee the issuance, amendment, suspension and withdrawal of personnel authorisations
• Ensure compliance of certifying staff, support staff and authorised personnel with qualification and competency requirements
• Monitor recurrent training, continuation training and authorisation validity

Supplier & Vendor Oversight

• Manage the supplier evaluation and approval programme
• Ensure initial and recurrent assessments of approved suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Maintain the approved supplier and vendor list

Airworthiness Review Activities

• Ensure proper conduct of Airworthiness Reviews in accordance with EASA requirements
• Supervise Airworthiness Review Staff activities and recommendations
• Monitor continuing airworthiness compliance and associated records

Quality Control Leadership

• Lead and develop the Quality Assurance team, including Quality Control Inspectors
• Establish departmental objectives, performance indicators and development plans
• Promote a proactive quality and compliance culture across the organisaation

Continuous Improvement

• Identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities
• Support process optimisation and digitalisation initiatives
• Facilitate root cause investigations and implementation of effective corrective actions
• Drive best practices throughout maintenance and airworthiness activities
• Facilitate MOCs & Risk Assessments within M&E

Essential Requirements

Education

• a relevant engineering or technical degree, or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with appropriate experience.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, continuing airworthiness, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and/or in the surveillance of such tasks.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
• Experience within EASA Part-CAMO and/or Part-145 organisations
• Experience interacting with aviation authorities and external auditors
• Thorough knowledge of:
  • EASA Part-CAMO
  • EASA Part-145
  • EASA Part-147
  • Part-M / Airworthiness Review requirements
  • SMS and Compliance Monitoring principles
  • Aviation quality systems and auditing / monitoring techniques
• knowledge of maintenance methods;
• knowledge of Human Factors principles and safety management systems

Working Conditions

• Permanent, full-time position based in our Cargolux Maintenance Center in Luxembourg.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Flexibility may be needed with working hours.
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
