Think selling billions worth of airline tickets is simple? Think again. From local travel agencies to global TMCs, OTAs and AI agents, airline distribution is where technology, payments and commercial strategy collide. Join Lufthansa Group, challenge the status quo and own projects that matter. Bring ideas, not buzzwords.
Starting date: February 15, 2027
Tasks
Strategy sounds great on a slide. But can you make it happen? Big ideas are welcome. The numbers get a veto. Help shape how Lufthansa Group sells and gets paid: challenge old habits, work with partners worldwide, dive into the data and own projects from idea to impact. Bring curiosity. And Excel.

- Analyse commercial performance, build business cases and turn data into actionable insights.
- Research emerging trends, benchmark competitors and explore new technologies shaping airline distribution.
- Develop communication and knowledge-sharing materials for our global sales organisation.
- Collaborate closely with international stakeholders, technology partners and teams across Sales & Digital Retailing.
- Own dedicated projects from planning to execution, while supporting day-to-day operations, project management, events and team offsites.
Requirements
Don't know NDC from EDIFACT? We can teach that. Think 'we've always done it this way' is a terrible argument? We agree. Bring sharp thinking, a feel for numbers, strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge your boss. You don't need all the answers. You do need the drive to find them.
- Workload: 100% preferred (80–100% possible).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree/student, or HF diploma, in Business, Economics, IT or a related field.
- Genuine interest in aviation, digital technology and commercial strategy.

- Independent thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude, ownership mentality and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working with international stakeholders.
- Very good spoken and written English.
- Very good MS Office and project management skills; willingness to travel.
