Saab’s business area Surveillance is looking for a driven, communicative and forward-thinking Head of Supply Chain Excellence & Digital Domain Leader. This is a key leadership role combining responsibility for our Supply Chain Digital Core with ownership of Process, Methods & Tools for Production and the development of our future Industrialisation capability.

Your Role

BA Surveillance is Saab’s largest and one of its most rapidly growing business areas. To sustain this growth, we need scalable processes, reliable digital solutions and stronger capabilities to industrialise and scale our products and production system.

A major part of your responsibility will be to lead, manage and further develop the Supply Chain Digital Core, with IFS as the primary business platform.

You will lead the organisation responsible for maintaining and developing IFS capabilities supporting Supply Chain and Production. This includes business ownership, application governance, competence and resource development, prioritisation, roadmap management and the continuous evolution of IFS to meet both current operational needs and future business requirements. In parallel, you will own Process, Methods & Tools (PM&T) for Production. PM&T is responsible for developing common processes, methods, tools and best practices that enable Production to operate and scale effectively across Surveillance. The role also has a dotted-line responsibility towards Supply Chain Excellence, ensuring alignment of processes, methods and digital solutions across Production and Supply Chain.

A key development area within Production PM&T is Industrialisation. This capability is currently being built and will become an increasingly important part of the organisation’s responsibility. The ambition is to establish common principles, methods and capabilities that enable earlier, more efficient and more scalable industrialisation of future products.

Within S&OP, your role is primarily to act as the Supply Coordinator for Production, coordinating the Production Supply Owners towards the common process and ensuring that Production planning requirements are effectively supported by the digital landscape. Over time, an important objective is to integrate relevant S&OP and planning capabilities into IFS.

Your main tasks will include:

• Lead the Supply Chain Digital Core and IFS organisation
  Lead and develop the organisation responsible for the governance, maintenance and continued development of IFS and related Supply Chain and Production applications. Ensure the right structure, competence and capacity to support a business-critical digital environment.
• Own and develop IFS from a business perspective
  Act as Digital Domain Leader and Business System Owner for relevant core applications. Define priorities and roadmaps and ensure that current and future IFS capabilities support the evolving needs of Supply Chain and Production.
• Balance operational stability with future development
  Ensure that today’s solutions remain stable and effective while driving simplification, standardisation and the introduction of new functionality, automation and data-driven ways of working.
• Own Production Process, Methods & Tools
  Lead PM&T for Production and establish common processes, methods, standards and tools across Surveillance. Identify, develop and spread best practices that improve efficiency, scalability and operational performance.
• Build the future Industrialisation capability
  Develop Industrialisation as an integral part of Production PM&T. Establish methods, principles and ways of working that strengthen the connection between product development and production and enable scalable industrialisation of future products.
• This includes areas such as producibility, DfX, modularisation, standardisation, production concepts and early consideration of industrial requirements in product development.
• Drive alignment with Supply Chain Excellence
  Through the dotted-line responsibility towards Supply Chain Excellence, ensure alignment between Production and Supply Chain processes, methods, tools and improvement initiatives.
• Enable S&OP and coordinate Production Supply
  Act as Supply Coordinator for Production, coordinating the Production Supply Owners towards the common S&OP process. Ensure that planning requirements are supported by the digital landscape and progressively integrated into IFS.
• Drive digital and operational transformation
  Lead cross-functional initiatives that reduce lead times, improve transparency, increase scalability and strengthen delivery performance.
• Develop data-driven ways of working
  Use IFS and complementary technologies to improve data quality, planning and decision-making, while exploring opportunities provided by automation, analytics and AI.
• Build strong cross-functional networks
  Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Product Development, Business Units and IT to establish coherent processes and digital capabilities across Surveillance.

The role in one sentence

You will lead and develop our Supply Chain Digital Core, own Production PM&T and build the future Industrialisation capability required to scale Surveillance’s operations.

Reporting line: The Head of Supply Chain Excellence & Digital Domain Leader reports directly to the Planning & Supply Chain Director within COO.

Location: Any major Saab site, preferably Stockholm or Göteborg.

Your profile

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with deep understanding of supply chain processes, methods, and tools (PM&T). We see that you have experience with S&OP, production planning, industrialization principles and strong data analysis and digital transformation skills. We also believe that you have proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and the proficiency in driving process improvement and operational excellence.

As a person, you are a strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of balancing operational stability with innovation and future development. You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills in English and Swedish, and you are committed to continuous improvement and driving change. Your ability to build strong cross-functional networks and partnerships will be instrumental in succeeding in this role.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
