Head of Maintenance Control Center (MCC)

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Maintenance Control Center (MCC) to lead our Maintenance Control Center operations and ensure the continuous airworthiness, reliability, and operational availability of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Control Center (MCC), ensuring effective 24/7 monitoring of fleet technical status and operational performance.
• Provide technical leadership and decision-making support during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, operational disruptions and critical maintenance situations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Line Maintenance, Flight Operations, OCC, Planning, Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure the timely resolution of technical issues.
• Oversee deferred defects, repetitive defects, and technical limitations affecting fleet operations.
• Ensure technical events, AOG occurrences, and operational disruptions are appropriately recorded, monitored, escalated and resolved in accordance with company procedures.
• Drive fleet reliability initiatives, root cause analyses and corrective action plans to improve dispatch reliability and operational performance.
• Liaise with OEMs, MRO providers, and external maintenance organizations to secure technical support and resolve complex aircraft issues.
• Monitor and develop key operational and technical KPIs related to fleet availability, aircraft utilization, technical delays, and AOG performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop MCC personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or technical operations within a commercial airline environment with at least 5 years of managerial or leadership experience within an MCC or equivalent operational engineering function.
• Experience with A320 and ATR aircraft types.
• Thorough knowledge of EASA regulations, Part-CAMO, Part-145 requirements, MEL, CDL, maintenance programs, and reliability systems.
• EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (B1 and/or B2) will be considered a strong asset.
• Proficient in MS Office and Maintenance Management Systems.
• Flexibility to respond to operational requirements and travel when necessary.
