WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide flight planning for EAT aircraft and crews.
- Prepare, calculate and release operational flight plans; file corresponding ATC flight plans across EUR, NAM, NAT HLA, AFR, MID, APAC and NACC regions in compliance with ICAO, EASA, IOSA and company requirements.
- Monitor flights from departure to arrival, ensuring plan adherence and resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with OM-A, OM-B, OM-C and OM-D requirements; provide route, safety and security briefings.
- Determine fuel requirements based on payload, weather, aircraft performance and operational conditions, supporting fuel efficiency and cost control.
- Coordinate with the FOC Duty Manager, Senior Supervisor Flight Dispatch, flight crews, EAT Maintenance, third-party operators and DHL network entities.
- Support flight crews during preparation and flight operations, including adverse weather, geopolitical events, emergencies and disruptions.
- Perform operational control, ensure ATC flight-plan acceptance and monitor airspace restrictions and regulations.
- Re-plan flights and coordinate operational solutions to support the network schedule and optimise on-time performance.
- Prepare and deliver specialised briefings for flight crews and other operational personnel.
- Use flight-planning, flight-watch and operational communication systems effectively.
- Complete post-flight procedures, ensure flight closure and verify operational documentation.
- Coordinate ad hoc overflight and landing permits, airport slots and ancillary services as required.
- Communicate effectively with all departments, authorities and organisations involved in flight operations.
- Support the Senior Supervisor Flight Dispatch and FOC Duty Manager in coordinating daily operations and managing critical situations.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Hold a valid Flight Dispatcher licence issued by the LBA, FAA or an equivalent authority, or have completed ATPL theoretical knowledge examinations.
- Relevant experience in commercial flight operations.
- Hold a valid work authorization and the unrestricted right to work in Germany.
- Sound knowledge of navigation, meteorology, flight planning, air traffic control and aviation regulations.
- Knowledge of applicable ICAO, IOSA and EASA requirements.
- Fluency in spoken and written English. German is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to critical situations and work under pressure in an open-plan operational environment.
- A service-oriented and proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
- Ability and availability to work in a rotating 24/7 shift environment, including 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends and public holidays.
