Job Overview and Responsibilities
This coordinator will support the inflight team. This position will support the development and monitoring of yearly budgets, rolling forecasts, and adherence to financial plans.
- Administer policy and processes to assist with cost allocation and management, staffing, and business operations consistent with United and government regulations
- Support the daily operational needs of the Training Center to ensure its smooth operation
- Coordinate with vendors who supply required resources to conduct training
- Assist with ad hoc training events, functions, and ceremonies with a focus on:
- Event execution - timely order submissions, set-up, and breakdown
- Budget administration - monitor event budgets
- Track expenses and ensure costs remain within approved limits
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records related to events
- Coordinate registration and attendee management processes
- Respond to participant inquiries and provide timely event updates
- Validate scheduled work/absence adjustments and submit monthly Pay Certs for COBUS
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Finance or business
- 0-1 years of administrative work experience
- Ability to actively perform tasks and duties assigned in a timely and responsive manner
- Project management experience; ability to plan and direct projects from inception to completion
- Strong analytical abilities; highly proficient communication and organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects
- MS Office, with strong working experience with Excel
- Must be able to prioritize work, function in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, and meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks
- Attendance is required at work location
- Willing to work some holidays, weekends, and early/late hours, as needed by training operations
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing at all levels (Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing)
- Ability to respond positively to changes and constructive feedback
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of business or finance experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
Experience with purchasing and expense allocation using United tools such as Oracle ERP and Coupa
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
